Peri-Menopause

The menopause marks 1 whole year without a period, however, the lead up to this day which is often called the peri-menopause can last from a few months to a number of years.

It can be described as a second puberty, often women experiencing mood swings, depression, irritability, changes in periods, disturbed sleep, hot flashes, low libido and the list goes on..

Its deemed to be long, rocky and unpleasant, not just for ourselves but for those around us and because we are all so beautifully unique we will all experience something different.

For some its an easier road than others, but for a lot of us, this can be a very scary, lonely and unhappy time, feeling completely out of control and unable to bring harmony to our life anymore.

Whilst the peri-menopause and the menopause is something that we cant avoid, we do have the capacity to control the severity of the symptoms by the lifestyle we chose to live.

Lifestyle changes such as eating a healthy diet, exercising and improving overall wellbeing, can really put your body in a good position to balance your hormones and take the transition into our menopausal years head on.
